Mezcal Agave is a remarkable little plant — it’s given us mezcal, a delightful spirit that will definitely cure what ails you. Mezcal lovers Sylvia and Cory McCollow, the parents of local favorite NIDO and NIDO’s Backyard, have opened a temple to the drink. Odin is a cozy cantina serving more than 300 varieties of Mezcal, Tequila, Sotol, Raicilla, and other libations. They want you to enjoy agave-derived cocktails but also learn about the plant and the farmers who dedicate their lives to it. The tacos are amazing, and they whip up on amazing tabla de Quesos, a cheese board you’ll love. (444 Oak St, Oakland).
