Shop the newest collection of original handcrafted art! See Christan Mercurio’s sustainable luxury leather handbags at the Rotary Club of Saratoga Fine Arts Show on April 30 & May 1, 2022 from 10:00am to 5:00pm. “I started making things out of leather in 2015 as a creative outlet and as gifts for friends. I make things for people who prefer to buy unique hand-crafted bags over something mass produced in a factory on an assembly line abroad. My designs strike a balance between beauty, simplicity and versatility. They are made for years of hard use, a lifetime if cared for, and every element can be repaired and replaced. Production is limited as everything is saddle stitched, no machines are used, and I have a day job in high tech in Silicon Valley. Everything I make is hand cut, hand punched, and hand sewn with saddle stitched seams. Each item is made start to finish, one at a time, by me. Working this way is very time consuming, and the results are worth it as this hands-on approach allows me to make the strongest and most beautiful bags I know how to make with a design aesthetic I find pleasing. The smallest bag takes a minimum of 10 hours and the largest takes as long as 40 to complete.” ~ Christan Mercurio Discover the exceptional beauty of handcrafted items of art and décor for the home, office and gift giving at the Rotary Club of Saratoga Fine Arts Show.
